As of March 2010 the "New Plan for North Dorset" has earmarked 25acres of "Greenfield" land opposite Wyke Hall for development. The proposed development off of Dry Lane is for a Business Park, stated in Para 2.8.40 which reads:

"Post 2016, businesses will be encouraged to locate to a new 10 Hectare 'business park' site to the west of Wyke".

This is not talking about something happening in twenty years time but rather, a Business Park completed and ready for companies to move into by 2016.

In April 2010 due to the wide felt, intense feeling against this proposal local residents set up the campaign group "Save Our Wyke".   Thank you to everyone who has helped with and supported this campaign.

We are always in need of more volunteers, whether it is for research, field studies or posting leaflets. If you are able to help in any way or just want to be added to our mailing list, please leave your contact details and information on how you could assist the "Save Our Wyke" campaign,  at saveourwyke@talktalk.net
